After a tasty lunch at The Green Dragon Inn head to Te Puia. Duration: 2 hours Stop At: Te Puia, Hemo Road, Rotorua New Zealand o Te Puia is the centre for New Zealand Maori culture and geothermal wonders. You will encounter bubbling mud, pools of boiling water still used for cooking, and stunning geysers. The Pohutu geysers is the start of the show. Today After Breakfast. A Canterbury Trails vehicle will pick you up from your accommodation to commence a full day Kaikoura Day Tour. At 07:30am join your coach and travel north to Kaikoura where the mountains meet the sea. Look out for Sperm Whales, Dusky Dolphins and Wandering Albatrosses. After lunch at a local cafe, visit the Kaikoura Peninsula where sightings can be made of New Zealand Fur Seals. On the return drive back to Christchurch a stop will be made to taste some local wines in the Waipara region. We can stop for plenty of great photo opportunities and short walks along the way in Te Anau, Eglinton Valley, Mirror Lakes and the Chasm. We will arrive in plenty of time for you to board the Milford Sound Boat Cruise departing at 12:45pm. Relax and enjoy your picnic lunch on board with stunning views from the boat while you make your way around Milford Sound. Keep an eye out for NZ fur seals as well as dolphins swimming in the wake as you get close to waterfalls and the sheer cliff walls carved by ancient glaciers. We will then leave Milford Sound arriving back at Queenstown around 6:30pm. There is plenty of time to get up close and personal with Australian animals and the famous little penguins. We drive south-east from Melbourne to reach Moonlit Sanctuary Conservation Park where you will meet endangered species, kangaroos, wallabies and koalas plus an array of colorful birds and reptiles. Our journey then leads onto Phillip Island, the home of the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix and our famous Little Penguins. Upon arrival on the island, depending on the time of year and your particular interests, we will visit Woolamai beach to see surfers riding the waves. From here, we go to the western corner of the island to enjoy magnificent views of Bass Strait and the Nobbies, which is home to the largest colony of fur seals in Australia. During the daylight savings months, you will travel to the town of Cowes to enjoy a great two course dinner before. In the winter months, you will have dinner in Cowes after the penguin parade.
