Breakfast. Proceed for full day city tour (duration approx 08 hrs) of Hanoi. Highlights of the tour : One-Pillar Pagoda, Quan Thanh Temple, Temple of Literature, Panoramic Cyclo tour, Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. You start with visit to the One-Pillar Pagoda - The One Pillar Pagoda, which litterally means in Vietnamese as “long lasting happiness and good luck” is a historic Buddhist temple in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Built of wood on a single stone pillar, the pagoda is designed to resemble a lotus blossom, the symbol of purity, rising out of a sea of sorrow. Quan Thanh Temple - One of the four sacred temples built in each of the cardinal directions to protect Hanoi's citadel from evil spirits, this Taoist temple was completed in the 11th Century. The temple's namesake spirit, Huyen Thien Tran Vu, is remembered for feats like driving away the ghost in Co Loa citadel and protecting Vietnam's northern border. Quan Thanh Temple is located near Hanoi's West Lake. Temple of Literature - The Temple of Literature ( Van Mieu ), dedicated to Confucius, was founded in 1070 by Emperor Ly Thanh Tong. In 1076, Vietnam's first university was established here to educate Vietnam's administrative and warriors class. Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake - Peaceful and quiet, the lake surrounds Ngoc Son Temple, a pagoda sitting in the centre on a small island.The temple attracts many visitors and was built in commemoration of the 13th century military leader Tran Hung Dao who was renowned for his bravery in the battle against the Yuan Dynasty. Later, you visit Thang Long theatre to enjoy the famous Water Puppet Show, a unique Vietnamese traditional art form that takes its origins from rural festivals in Vietnam. Artists - men and women - stand waist-deep in the water to manipulate puppets, making them move about, talk, laugh and even dance on the water surface. Meals on own account. Breakfast. Then transferred to Ha Long Bay which is 160 km from Hanoi Upon arrival we board our boat for an unforgettable cruise through sublime scenery of limestone islands, clad in jungle, that are scattered across the emerald waters. A welcome seafood lunch is served on board while we cruise through Ha Long Bay and visit some islands and caves. There is the possibility to swim and kayak around these tiny beaches. Late in the afternoon we admire the sun setting over the Bay, or we can participate in a cooking demonstration, or refresh with sundowners on the bar deck during happy hour. Dinner and overnight are on board in Ha Long Bay
We start the day with breakfast on board the boat as we soak up enchanting scenery, before continuing with the cruise through stunning Ha Long Bay. We then disembark from the boat at Ha Long Wharf to transfer back to Hanoi and proceed to the airport for everning flight to Ho Chi Minh city . Breakfast at hotel Full Day Excursion to My Tho (Duration approx 08 hrs) Highlights of tour: Visit Vinh Trang Pagoda. Enjoy a boat ride on the Mekong River and visit an island of My Tho. Vinh Trang Pagoda is a Buddhist temple near My Tho in the Mekong Delta region of southern Vietnam. It is one of the best-known temples in the region.The beautiful structure features a mixture of Chinese, Vietnamese and Angkor (Cambodian) architectural styles. The pagoda consists of five buildings, two ornamental yards and 178 pillars. The extremely beautiful structures in the pagoda are two triumphal arches bearing an art of inserting bottle and porcelain fragments which create harmonious pictures illustrating the Buddha’s legendaries. My Tho – Approx 70 KM – 02 hours drive from Saigon. The gateway to Mekong Delta was founded in the 17th century by Chinese refugees fleeing Taiwan after the fall of the Southern Ming dynasty. The economy is based on tourism, fishing and the cultivation of rice, coconuts, bananas, mangoes, longans and citrus fruit. Visit the local islands to find out the traditional way of living. Breakfast at hotel Highlights of tour: Visit to Cu Chi Tunnels, Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum. Photo stop at General Post office Morning, visit Cu Chi Tunnel (approx 70 KM – 02 hours drive from Saigon) an amazing complex of underground tunnels used during the Vietnam war. On the way, visit a local house making rice paper. Return to Ho Chi Minh city. Afternoon enjoy a half day city tour of Ho Chi Minh City (approx 04 hrs)– Visit Reunification Palace - former Norodom Palace, is a landmark in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It was the home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. War Remnants Museum – Once known as the Museum of Chinese and American War Crimes, but also includes many exhibits relating to the first Indochina War involving the French colonialists. Photo stop at Old Post office - A leftover from the French occupation of the city, the Post Office is one of the better-preserved examples of the colonial period’s architecture. Finished in 1891, based on designs created by Gustav Eiffel, the famous architect of Eiffel Tower – Paris. Later, shopping drop to Ben Thanh Market - Established by the French colonial powers in 1859. Being a bustling market in the daytime and a social center after sunset, Ben Thanh Market is absolutely a must-see attraction of the most dynamic city of Vietnam. Meals on own account.
